The
linguistic derived from Latin lingua means '
language '. Linguistics is the study of the language or the science
that makes the language as an object of studies. There are three terms to
describe the language in
French:
• Langue :
A particular language.
• Langage:
language in General.
• Parole:
language in real
forms like speech.
Linguistics frequenly called as General Linguistics. It means that the
Linguistics not only examine a language alone, but rather the details of
language in General, called as langage in French terminology . Linguistic experts called linguists. The
father of modern Linguistics was Ferdinand de Saussure (1857-1913). His
book on language entitled Course de Linguistique Generale,
was
first published in
1916.
